GAA Coaching Course:
On the 22nd of January we had a GAA coaching course with Michael and Kevin.
For the first part of the day consisted of the first four modules which consisted of note taking. We learned about the important characteristics of a GAA Coach.
Later in the day we were split into groups to learn and teach different skills to our classmates. Our activity was the solo run, we showed the class how to do the skill and then we did a drill with them to help them learn the skill easier.
After the skills we had a talk from Damien Coleman, he told us the reasons behind doing the course and about how beneficial it would be to us.
Reflection:
Overall, I found the GAA Coaching Course very interesting; I learned lots of new information.
I think that everyone learned something from the day and everyone enjoyed it.
I would defiantly recommend this course to next years Transition Years.
